Conquer the laundry monster and win!

by Sarah on October 26, 2011

UPDATE!  Our Winner is….

One of the many reasons I love our Tag a Towels is that they help my family conserve. By knowing which hanging towel is ours, we can be comfortable knowing that we’re reusing our own towels.

When we didn’t have the Tag a Towel system in place, no matter how good we were at hanging our towels after a shower or bath, come the next shower we forgot which white towel was ours. So we grabbed another one, and so grew my laundry pile (and my frustration!).

What I soon found was that by reusing our towels even just once, it saved us one load of laundry a week! That means I was saving on water, energy, detergent use and best of all my sanity.

For the love of cutting down your laundry pile, I’m giving away TWO 2-packs to one lucky reader!

Here’s how to WIN!

The winner will receive the newest super hero for their bathroom, the brand spankin’ new mom-created product, Tag a Towel! In fact not just one pack but TWO! That’s FOUR tags!

You will get to choose two, two-packs of your choice. These little guys will help teach your kids responsibility and conservation, help you keep the laundry monster at bay and help you keep those cooties from being shared via towels.

To enter:

Share your biggest towel gripe in the comments below…do your kids constantly fight over whose towel is whose? Do you have a “always-throw-the-towel-on-the-floor” kind of brood? Or maybe your husband is on the most wanted list for towel robbers. Share in the comments below!

Bonus entries!

My biggest towel gripe is hmmm there’s a few. #1 is leaving a towel in the kitchen after the shower. #2 is folding a wet towel in half so it can’t dry properly. In Hawaii that’s a problem. Mildew can come quickly. Of course I never leave my towels on the floor…. Love your idea . I like my towel all to myself.

Liza of A Maui Blog October 26, 2011 at 2:14 pm

I’d do anything to lessen the load of laundry I am doing, save money on utility bills, and save my sanity! My beloved kids have the tendency to leave their towels on their bed – yep, wet towels on their bed, ugh! With a nice Tag A Towel tag I think they’d be more motivated to hang it on the rack. I hope to win so will definitely tweet and facebook this! :)

Three girls … three towels. “It’s mine, no mine!!” This is a nightly conversation I would love to get rid of!

Sarah October 26, 2011 at 3:32 pm

I love my towel all to myself too. I have a couple of pet peeves — #1 is that my husband is constantly using my towel to dry his hands…it doesn’t matter that he has his own towel or if I put a hand towel out…UGH! He also hangs his wet towel over mine so mine doesn’t dry completely — even though he has his own hook! HELP!

My biggest gripe by far is the way my husband balls up his towel after use so that by the time it makes it into the laundry it always ends up smelling funky. My second biggest gripe is the fact that he uses my towel when he’s in my bathroom (yes, I have my own bathroom – it supports marital bliss;)

We are the most dysfunctional family when it comes to sharing towels, and even bathrooms. I find it easier some nights just to bathe the kids downstairs in our bathroom, which results in them using our towels… we tend to grab which ever one is closest at the time, and when it comes to my turn I grab the one that seems the most dry! Yikes. I would love to be able to tag our towels!!

My husband is constantly taking out new towels instead of sticking to one towel for a few days. And, he always says, “Not me….I reuse my towels.” Yeah..why do we have ten towels hanging on our bathroom door….and they have nothing to do with the kids. They use a different bathroom!

Melissa October 27, 2011 at 5:56 pm

My biggest pet peeve is that when placing his wet towel on the rack to dry, my husband always manages to put it halfway on top of my towel. It always gets wet! And another one- even though my kids have 2 different colored towels (always the same color per child), hubby still mixes them up when drying them off after a bath. If I say anything about it I’m told, “It doesn’t really matter.” Really??

mine would be getting them to hang them up an off the floor,,an then end up in the laundry bag when done,an before they get hard an stinky

I actually have no laundry gripes, can you imagine? Well almost. Read more…I taught our two kids at age 8 to do their own laundry. So our family of four all does their own laundry. My husband always does his own too. Each of us have our own color towels…you would think that we would be smooth sailing, wrong! I find my towel used to dry our little doggie after her bath, yuck! Or in the car after the beach. Or used to clean a spill in the kitchen.

Tag a towel (great idea by the way) would be insurance that my towel would be left along. If I won I might use all four tag a towels on my towel and let the rest of the family fight over the rest.

Me! Choose me!

Thanks!

At home, we have different color towels so we can tell whose towel it is. But on vacation, it’s a completely different story! All the hotel towels are white and we always get confused when we try to re-use them. And trust me, I don’t want to use someone else’s towel… no matter how much I love them.

The fact the kids never want to hang up their towels.

I can not stand the towels that get wet and my family just throws them in the dirty clothes. YUCK and SMELL!

Mine would be when my kids go to camp in the AM with their towels and come home towel-less or with someone else’s!

I just can’t stand doing so much laundry in general!

Hooray for the TagATowel giveaway!!! As a card-carrying germophobe I have more than a few issues with towels. My biggest peeve, however, has to be the towel on the floor. I mean, seriously! With two long hair shedding girls (me and my daughter) and one 3 year old son who is still learning how to aim into the toilet, (which by the way means that we are a family of four so 2packs of TagATowels would suit us just perfectly) I see a towel being dropped and I’m leaping in slow motion screaming “Nooooooooooooo!” to try to catch it before it hits the ground. That’s when my kids look at me like I’m mental and I start yet another load of laundry.

Corinne Shark October 31, 2011 at 3:27 pm

Facebooked it! I don’t Tweet but I’ll do a blog post review! Xo

I use white towels and my hubby and I always mix them up……I just want my own towel but I don’t want to go out and buy all new towels!

I thought I had the home bath towel situation under control since I just finished new construction and a rack for each person was on the punch list!

But, I’ve been informed by the big guy he doesn’t appreciate me using his bath towel for my hair so apparently, I’m the problem! And, yes, I confess I do that, sometimes, and then forget it was his towel in the first place.

Sylvie November 6, 2011 at 1:15 am

would love to try this! Never heard of it! My biggest gripe; THE LAUNDRY ugh. They seem to make babies in the hamper. I swear they populate lol.

Rachel Harville November 6, 2011 at 1:34 am

I have a throw it on the floor Brood! I would love to win these.

Lisa L November 6, 2011 at 6:41 pm

I have towels for my husband, me, son, daughter and my hair. Yes, my hair has its own towel. No matter hard we try to remember which color is ours, I always end up with either a wet towel or have to use someone’ else’s.

Brittney House November 6, 2011 at 10:55 pm

For some reason my husband and kids always end up using my shower towel for their showers. I try and try to designate a towel for everyone but at the end of the way everyone always uses mine.

amy deeter November 6, 2011 at 11:47 pm

my kids are constantly fighting over the towels because we only own 3 and were a family of 4

My biggest towel gripe is my son will pull our bath towels down off the shower rod and throw them on the floor so we can’t reuse them and that adds to my laundry woes!

I really have a combination of towel problems…my kids shove all the towels together half on half off the towel rack or throw them in the corner on the floor. I also have the ongoing problem of the towel theif, yes, my towels mysteriously grow legs and disappear. Sometimes they come back in the strangest places, sometimes I don’t see them for months. I would love any help I can get.

Storm, the Psychotic Housewife November 7, 2011 at 4:34 am

My DH is the guilty person – he has a habit of putting his wet towel straight into the laundry basket which makes everything smell stinky, instead of letting it dry out some first. I guess it’s better than him leaving it on the floor – although he does that sometimes too. lol

Jamie Villari November 7, 2011 at 5:08 am

Somehow the hand towels never end up back on the hanging rod. I end up with 2 or 3 towels on the counter from my family. would love to have something that would help with clutter.

I biggest gripe is hubby is forever taking the hand towel out of the bathroom and not putting a new one in.

Tracy November 7, 2011 at 1:22 pm

My youngest will take her towel and then “hide” it away in her bedroom for me to find all stinky days later ahhhh! drives me NUTS! I now make her leave it in the bathroom and she can either bring her jammies in before her bath or walk in the buff to her room and get them, but it is a chilly walk in the winter (she is almost 7).

Dna Andrakowicz November 7, 2011 at 1:45 pm

What a clever idea!! Would love these for my family!

crystle tellerday November 7, 2011 at 2:03 pm

ill have a towel hanging up to use for the week and my cousin daniel will take it use it and leave it on the floor instead of getting a different towel to use

cee love November 8, 2011 at 1:49 am

My biggest towel gripe is that no matter how many times I hang a towel up it falls on the floor.

Shannon Herrington November 8, 2011 at 3:26 am

My hubby is my biggest gripe! He is constantly using a new towel because he forgot where he set his last one. Either that or he thinks it’s mine and goes to get a new one. I love him bus seriously! :) Thank you for the giveaway
